About Monica
I began my professional journey in 2013 with a degree in Baking & Pastry and have since worked on a number of solo and collaborative projects as well as gained experience and knowledge from many of Tampa's local and popular bakeries. I take pride in the work that I do and in the long-term relationships that I’ve built with my clients. I am a firm believer in working hard, working together, and having fun along the way! In December of 2020 I welcomed my beautiful baby girl into the world. Her existence is what inspired me to so bravely start my own small business, so by May of 2021 Sweets by Monica was established!
Mission
Being a lifelong learner is a trait that is really important to me. Some lessons were learned in the traditional way, while others I have received from professional mentors, while working and in some cases, friends and family. Everything that I craft for you is made with love and intention, always. My purpose is to create moments of pure happiness and to become a part of one of your wonderful memories.
Vision
To continue gaining knoweldge and learning new techniques every step of the way. My grandpa used to tell me every morning on the way to school "Good, Better, Best. Never let it rest until your Good is Better and your Better is Best" and I remind myself of that with everything I do in this short life we've been gifted.
